Game of love 62- SELF RESPECT

SELF-RESPECT

"If one lives without self-respect, all that one eats goes to waste."

Guru Nanak Dev Ji 1469-1539

Respect yourself. Once you can appreciate your self worth, then you can begin to respect and understand your surroundings..

Guru Sahib Jis Sikhs should all be saint/soldiers. If we don't have self respect, it will be difficult to defend the honour of others.

There is a huge difference between personal ego and self respect. If someone is bullied physically or mentally, it is ok to retaliate after 2 or 3 times of stopping the oppressor. People without self respect struggle to be righteous, as they struggle to help themselves, which makes them very weak.

If we don't have self respect, this opens up the doors for others to be bullied/oppressed around us.

It's important in life, we live with self respect (annakh), we are righteous but not through personal ego but only divine pride. If we remain humble and virtuous whilst living in this way, we will be respected more by the blessings of Guru Ji.
