Game of love 347- AATH PEHAR (24/7)

AATH PEHAR (24/7)

"The true capital and the true way of life, come by chanting his glories, twenty four hours a day."

Guru Arjun Dev Ji 1563-1606

In our last post, we mentioned how the Naam should stay in our every breath, whilst facing the distractions of laughing, playing, dressing and eating.

It seems quite hard to meditate 24/7. According to Guru sahib, it is quite easy. It's just that we are very lazy!

When the Naam becomes a beautiful ras, (taste) in our heart, mind and soul, it's very difficult to let go. One would rather die than loose it. It begins to jap (meditate) itself, by connecting to our mind and breath. How is this possible?

Key to the days meditation is, when we wake up at Amritvela (ambrosial hours) and meditate for a couple of hours, as this is when single minded meditation can be achieved without any distraction (pure focus). After this, the Naam is resounded back to us in glimpses throughout the day. We need to make every effort to hear the Naam, with our inner ears more frequently.

A few ways to do it! Whilst eating we can crunch and repeat 'Vahe' and then 'Guroo' after two crunches. Whilst walking we can repeat 'Vahe' and then 'Guroo' after two steps. Whilst brushing our teeth, 'Vahe' and then 'Guroo' for up and down. So basically, every action we commit should try to form a pattern of Vaheguroo simran (remembrance), in our day to day lives.

Once we form this pattern, the mantra will become one with our every breath, mind, body and soul and we will start to experience the ras we talked about.

After a lot of abhiyaas (practice) and blessings, the name will begin to recite itself in ras and we will have to hear it with our inner ears. The more we try to focus and concentrate, the more ras we experience.

In some day to day duties, like studying, work etc, we might not be able to focus fully but we should try to listen to the Mantra where we can, as Naam will subconsciously always be within.

It is the command of Guru sahib ji and it is the only way we will find total peace, poise and tranquility (Sehj), when our mind is controlled by Vaheguroo's Mantra with every breath.

From here we gain all attributes of God! They build in our character and Guru sahib ji blesses us with his divine wisdom and many various forms and states of spirituality, Including the tenth gate opening and access to the spirit world.

The best way is to love God dearly, remain humble and accept the gifts Guru sahib Ji blesses us with, as many can get trapped in the state of occult powers (ridh sidh), forget the Naam and lose their life's battle through ego.

Note! To receive the full benefit of Naam meditation, one must beg for it at an Amrit Sanchaar. Most Sikhs will tell you what an Amrit Sanchaar is.

We have to become khalsa (pure), to want khalsa raj (rule of the pure). The above is what every khalsa should be like, or aspire to become. We have to conquer our mind in order to conquer the universe.

Guru Arjun Dev Ji Says, "Gur pooraa bhaettai vaddabhaagee aat(h) pehar prabh jaapai."
Meeting with the Perfect Guru, by great good fortune, meditate on God twenty-four hours a day.

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 346- LIBERATED WHILST ENJOYING!

LIBERATED WHILST ENJOYING!

"While laughing, playing, dressing and eating, he is liberated."

Guru Arjun Dev Ji 1563-1606

Guru Sahib Ji says, we can be liberated whilst laughing, playing, dressing up and eating delicious foods.

How is this possible? As these can be massive distractions in our spiritual gain.

It's important our mind and breath are not seperated from the Naam. When the Naam is within and heard 24/7 with our inner ears, this is a blessing by Guru ji and everything we do is parvaan (accepted) and blessed according to Gurmat (Gurus way).

We can have a laugh yet remember God with every breath. We can own the best cars, houses and clothes etc, yet be detached, as the Name in our every breath detaches us from all worldliness. Nothing is ours, It's all Guru Ji's. The remembrance of the Name teaches us to think in this way with every breath (divine wisdom). Everything we eat will be purified through every breath of Naam meditation (no meat, fish or eggs). There are different forms of personal rehit, bibek for Gursikhs. Every gursikh has their own personal asool (rule).

The above is a blessed and higher state of consciousnes. It's best to live a simple life, away from any distractions, in order to progress further spiritually. Guru Sahib will bless us with their wisdom, when we are ready to progress. It is all achieved through single minded practice of Naam meditation.

Guru sahib ji caters for everyone's state of mind in Gurbaani, as they want all to excel further. They also answer the questions of all.

"Receiving the Name (Vaheguroo), the mind is satisfied; without the Naam, life is cursed." Guru RamDas Ji

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 345- JEWEL

JEWEL

"Deep within the nucleus of the self is the jewel."

Guru Amardas Ji 1479-1574

The treasure we look for outside is within ourselves. You are precious. Realise your wealth and enjoy the depth of your own spirituality. You only need to meditate on the pure love that is within you to begin to realise what the jewel is.

The Jewel is our soul (Vaheguroo/God) and it is realised from within, through Amrit Naam (Vaheguroo Mantra).

Naam is given to us by panj pyaare (5 beloved ones, in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib ji). We can not receive this diamond from anyone else. They teach us how to meditate and experience meditation with blessed souls, until the Naam meditation is instilled within us.

The Angelic beings, silent sages and many others search for this Amrit. Only Guru Ji can bless us with it.

The Vaheguroo mantra is very blessed. It has been complied with the first letters of four Avtaars (pure beings) names, from the four ages. So therefore, it is the most powerful and blessed mantra to have ever existed, given to us by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

We don't realise how blessed we are to be be born or be gifted the life of a Sikh! Why are we wasting our life searching for shells, when the jewel is seated within us.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji Says, "Heerae jaisaa janam hai kouddee badhalae jaae."
Human life is such a precious jewel, but it is being lost in exchange for a mere shell.
You do not know the Name of the Lord.
You fool - you shall regret and repent in the end!

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 344- MANTRA

MANTRA

"While walking, sitting, sleeping and awake, contemplate the Gurmantra within your heart."

Guru Arjun Dev Ji 1563-1606

Guru sahib makes it clear in Gurbani (sikh holy scriptures), we have to meditate with every breath in order to find peace, bliss and a balanced tranquil mind. By meditating 24/7with every breath, we find the state of Sehj (peace poise). This is the highest state of pure love. One is not phased by anything in this state. All emotions, thoughts and the minds desires are fully controlled by the shabad (word/mantra) Vaheguroo.

We should not miss even a breath of naam meditation, as Guru sahib ji says, 'it is a breath wasted in evil thought.'

Another reason why Guru ji tells us not to forget the naam with any breath is, when we breathe our last, if we have not remembered Vaheguroo (God) throughout our jivan (life), it will become very difficult to remember them in the last breath. This will most likely result in us remembering the people we are attached to, which will shape out the journey for our souls next life form.

Guru sahib ji says, 'if we remember God in our last breath, our soul will merge in the heart of the supreme soul (God) and we will fulfil the purpose of this human life.'

Keep the company of those, who love to meditate by loving God, and those who relish the love of Vaheguroo's creation with every breath.

The blessed souls experience the ras (love) of Naam. It's an ecstasy that can not be matched and one would rather die than live without the ras of Vaheguroo.

Bhai Rama Singh Ji was a blessed and very loving soul. He would fall deep in to meditation whenever he found the opportunity. He would say, 'Always love those more without a faith, as they need it more.' His eyes were of a truly innocent child's. Looking in to them would be like looking in to a piece of glass. He was born in a Hindu family and adopted Sikhi after meeting the 10th Sikh Guru through spirit. He was the living example of a human being, who was always imbued in the taste of meditation. Bhai Sahibs body left this earth around 10 years ago, he may have left but his aura, love and energy is still felt today.

"Without meditation on your name my life does not even exist"
Guru Ramdas Ji

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 343- JEALOUSY

JEALOUSY

"I have given up jealousy, ever since I associated with the company of saints."

Guru Arjun Dev Ji 1563-1606

Jealousy can eat away at you. It is difficult not to feel jealous about another's fortune. If you feel jealousy creeping into your mind, then try to think of someone good, peaceful and content and think of how they would deal with this feeling. Be happy for the fortunes of others as your time of good fortune will eventually come.

Jealousy has conquered many in this dark age, if not most, as we always want to be better off than the next person. We desire bigger and better houses, better cars, a more luxurious life style, our kids to do better than the next persons and most of all we want our functions to always stand out more than the next persons.

All this jealousy and WANTING only piles on the pressure and stress, which is a killer. We will never be happy and content and there will always be someone better off than us.

There is only one cure! It will never diminish and it will always be above everything else. The same one cure is repeated and mentioned in all the previous posts.

We are blessed to be Sikhs, we need to accept the blessed Amrit (holy nectar), keep rehit (code of conduct), remain in Sangat (like minded spiritual people) and most of all find peace love and contentment through Naam meditation, given to us at the Amrit Sanchaar ceremony.

Guru Arjun Dev Ji Says, "Laahi paradhaa t(h)aakur jo bhaettiou tho bisaree thaath paraaee."
I threw off the veil of illusion, when I met my Lord and Master; then, I forgot my jealousy of others.
This is a wonder which cannot be described. They alone know it, who have tasted it.
Says Nanak, the Truth has been revealed to me. The Guru has given me the treasure; I have taken it and enshrined it within my heart.

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 342- HUMILITY

HUMILITY

"The fruit of humility is intuitive peace and pleasure."

The humble character will never feel frustration. It is important to set goals in life, but these needn't be materialistic ones. Try humility for a while and see how your inner-self glows and feels free from self made pressures.

To be humble is ecstatic! It's when our state of mind is lowered, our divine wisdom excelled and our spirits uplifted.

We feel humble, when we have surrendered our all to God and feel nothing else matters anymore. Through humility, we can not be phased by anything, as all is God and we live in their will for always being sweet. We should feel like the dust of all (God) yet amazingly powerful through it. The humble being always remain righteous.

Constant humility in ones life is a very blessed state of mind, as it is only developed when our ego is killed through meditation.

The one who remains humble is loved  by all, as they care for others more than themselves. This is witnessed by the world through their actions and speech.

Guru Nanak Dev Jj Says, "Saram surath dhue sasur bheae.
Modesty, humility and intuitive understanding are my mother-in-law and father-in-law.
I have made good deeds my spouse.
Union with the Holy is my wedding date, and separation from this materialistic, dark world is my marriage.
Says Nanak, 'Truth' is the child born of this Union.

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 341- HUMANITY

HUMANITY

"Recognise the whole human race as one."

Guru Gobind Singh Ji 1666-1708

Living in a big world, we constantly meet people from different backgrounds. With these different paths continually crossing yours, it is important to remember that we are all human beings.

As humans we have a tendency of judging others. We judge in many ways, we judge by colour, cast, creed, gender, religion, appearance and many others ways. It's important we look at all as equal and the creation of Vaheguroo (God) or we will really suffer in this life and the next. When we judge others, we always tend to upset many people, as most judgment is usually wrong and judged by our ego. Even if the judgement is right, it's important we let people be and experience. There will come a time, when they will realise, there is no worth or value in what wrong they do.

Guru Sahib Ji, has given us a beautiful teaching of, "Dekh ke andith kardhayna" (to ignore what we have seen). In this horrific world and life time, we will see many things. We will not be able to physically deal with them all. Sometimes, we may just have to do a prayer and walk away. We have a bad habit of exposing people. This is not the quality of a Sikh. If he/she sees something wrong, they will lovingly go and tell them personally and support them to adjust. Why? Because God is in all and we have been given the spiritual wisdom to see the one God in all through his Name Vaheguroo!

Guru sahib ji tells us, if we would like to liberate this mind and soul, we have to see God in all their creation, including animals, nature and anything that is designed by their creation.

This love only comes through Naam meditation. They become one with their mind and soul to find inner peace.

Guru Ramdas Ji Says, "Eihu sareer sabh dhharam hai jis a(n)dhar sachae kee vich joth."
This body is the home of Dharma; the Divine Light of the True Lord is within it.
Hidden within it are the jewels of mystery; how rare is that Gurmukh, that selfless servant, who digs them out.
"Sabh aatham raam pashhaaniaa thaa(n) eik raviaa eiko outh poth."
When someone realizes the All-pervading Soul (God), then he sees the One and Only Lord permeating in everyone, through and through.
He sees the One, he believes in the One, and with his ears, he listens only to the One.
O servant Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; this is your service to the Lord, the Truest of the True.

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 340- HARVEST

HARVEST

"As you plant, so shall you harvest."

Guru Nanak Dev Ji 1469-1539

The seeds of positive thought and action will be enjoyed when they flourish. Begin to do good and positive things for yourself and others now! It will bring you more happiness and foster good character for the future.

If we sew bad seeds, we create bad karma and we have to pay for it in this life or the here after. So it's easier to do good and reap goodness.

It's important we sew seeds of virtue in this life. Virtuous deeds will help our soul become closer to God and accomplish our coming on this earth, Which is to liberate our soul by becoming one with it.

Doing good for others will always be rewarded. It's easy to do good for our families but very difficult to put others before our loved ones.

This is exactly what the Sikh Gurus did for us and all of mankind.

Our final thoughts also play a large part in our souls journey. This is the reason Guru ji wants us to remember Vaheguroo (God) with our each and every breath.

Bhagat Tralochan Ji Says, "A(n)th kaal jo lashhamee simarai aisee chi(n)thaa mehi jae marai."
At the very last moment, one who thinks of wealth, and dies in such thoughts, shall be reincarnated over and over again, in the form of serpents.
O sister, do not forget the Name of the Lord of the Universe (Vaheguroo).
At the very last moment, he who thinks of women, and dies in such thoughts, shall be reincarnated over and over again as a prostitute.
At the very last moment, one who thinks of his children, and dies in such thoughts, shall be reincarnated over and over again as a pig.
At the very last moment, one who thinks of mansions, and dies in such thoughts, shall be reincarnated over and over again as a goblin.
At the very last moment, one who thinks of the Lord and dies in such thoughts, says Trilochan, that man shall be liberated; the Lord shall abide in his heart.

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 339- HARSH WORDS

HARSH WORDS

"Harsh words bring only grief."

Guru Nanak Dev Ji 1469-1539

In our anger, we can say many bitter words. In that moment of frustration this aggressive behaviour brings you relief, but in the long run the guilt and realisation of your harsh words will only bring you sorrow. It is best to think before you speak. It is best not to speak if it only brings negativity to the conversation.

When the love of the lord's name becomes one with our breath, it becomes difficult to speak harsh words. Only praises of the Lord Vaheguroo are uttered from such a mouth. If the name of Vaheguroo disappears for even a second, our mind opens up to the evils of this dark age, which then can cause us to make silly mistakes through harsh words.

Be aware of this drunken mind! It tends to always lead us astray, if not controlled by the positive energy of Naam meditation and Guru Ji's teachings. Only the Guru's teachings, can move the immovable mind and beautify it!

Guru Amardas Ji Says, "Man mai math maigal mikadhaaraa. Gur a(n)kas maar jeevaalanehaaraa."
The mind is like an elephant, drunk with wine.
The Guru is the rod which controls it, and shows it the way.
The mind is uncontrollable; how rare are those who subdue it.
Those who move the immovable become pure.
The Gurmukhs embellish and beautify this mind.
They eradicate egotism and corruption from within.

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 338- GREED

GREED

"When there is greed, what love can there be? When there is greed, love is false. How long can one remain in a thatched hut which leaks when it rains?"

Sheikh Farid Ji 1173-1265

Replace greed with love. Do not allow your mind to be filled with greed. It can be difficult to feel content, but sincere effort will allow you to overcome greed. Take steps to overcome the feeling of greed by nurturing love and contentment in your heart. It becomes very difficult to love when we are controlled by greed.

In this life we want more and more but all will stay here. Only naam, baani, our good and bad actions will be accounted for and help in our soul's journey.

When we are greedy, it's all for our own selfish needs. We are totally controlled by our mind and ego. The mind is like a wild monkey, always on the loose and never content. We should not let the mind control us but instead we should be fully in control over our mind. This is only possible through meditation on Vaheguroo's name. If we control our wild mind, no vice in the world will be able to lead us a stray.

We desire more and more. Where will this get us? None of it goes with us in the end. Greed is only going to bring out the worst in us. Desiring less and giving to others will foster love. Genuine love brings everyone together. According to Guru Ji, once we feel the true power of loving all, there's no substance to match it.

Guru Amardas Ji Says, "So prabh preetham man vasai j sabhasai dhaee adhhaar.
That Beloved God abides in her mind; He gives his love and Support to all."

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 337- GOOD CONDUCT

GOOD CONDUCT

"If you seek the path of good conduct, forsake greed, and do not look upon another's property and women."

Bhagat Jaidev Ji 12th Century

Good conduct will never go out of fashion. Avoid materialism and envy and act in a way such that peace and contentment surround each and every act you perform.

We are blessed to be Sikhs of the Guru. If we perform wrongful acts, it is like a gaal (swear) to the Guru, as they are performed in Guru Ji's roop. All women/men are our mothers/fathers, sisters/brothers, daughters/sons.

When we act in righteousness and conduct ourselves in a kind, loving and positive manner, this energy is recognised by the world and Guru Ji is given the praise for it. The more we act in peace and love, the more Sikhi spreads in to the masses!

When Naam meditation is recited within us, we will always conduct ourself in a peace, loving way. Soon as it leaves the lips, the mind runs wild, goes astray and negative thoughts begin to control our mind, which forces us to conduct ourselves in a negative way.

All praise is Guru Ji's, none is ours, as the roop and gift of spiritual Sikhi is Guru Ji's

Guru Nanak Dev Ji Says, "Aachaar thoo veechaar aapae har naam sa(n)jam jap thapo. Sakhaa sain piaar preetham naam har kaa jap japo."
Reflect on your own self, and so practice good conduct; chant the Name of the Lord as your self-discipline and meditation.
The Name of the Lord is your Companion, Friend and Dear Beloved; chant it, and meditate on it.

Vaheguroo!

Game of love 335- GOSSIP

GOSSIP

"One who's heart is filled with malicious gossip, everything they do is in vain."

Guru RamDas Ji 1534-1581

Everyone enjoys a good gossip, but no one wants others to gossip about them. Gossip only brings negativity. Avoid gossip and accept that everyone, just like yourself, has ups and downs in their lives and are different.

When we gossip about others, it shows we are weak humans. Life is a mirror, we are on the inside as we are on the outside. If we are loving, peaceful and calm on the outside, that's exactly what the state of our mind and soul will be on the inside.

By gossiping about others we are sewing bad karma for ourselves, which we will have to pay for in this life or the hereafter.

It's easier to accept all as one, meditate and live in high spirits.

Gossip means we are empty inside and separated from the true taste of spiritual fulfilment. To listen to Gossip is as bad as speaking it.

Vaheguroo!
